Dear Students,
Welcome to the Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation at the Faculty of Health Sciences, Tarsus University.
The primary aim of our department is to educate qualified physiotherapists who can apply their scientific knowledge and skills in professional practice, adhere to ethical principles, think critically, engage in research and inquiry, and embrace lifelong learning.
In line with this aim, we adopt a student-centered educational approach that emphasizes active student participation in the learning process, supports individual development, and aims to enhance students’ abilities to question, generate, and apply knowledge.
Our department, which offers education at both undergraduate and master's levels, provides students with a comprehensive learning environment through its academic staff, two teaching and research laboratories, scientific research opportunities, and collaborations with various institutions, particularly healthcare organizations.
As part of Tarsus University, which is progressing toward its goal of becoming a research university, we attach great importance to increasing scientific productivity, supporting innovative educational approaches, and involving our students in scientific research processes. Through our interinstitutional collaborations, we support students in integrating their theoretical knowledge with clinical practice and gaining professional experience.
We value not only equipping our students with professional knowledge and skills but also fostering their scientific curiosity, helping them discover their individual talents, and supporting their academic and social development. We strive to create a participatory and continuously improving educational environment that values students’ opinions and suggestions.
We are delighted to accompany you throughout your educational journey as future physiotherapists who will play an important role in shaping the field of physiotherapy and rehabilitation. I wish you all a healthy, successful, and rewarding university experience.
